A 17-year-old secondary school graduate in Kano State, Isah Barde has built a robot from scrap to finish using cartons, pipes, LED, motor, aluminium, et.c. as components.

The invention which took three years according to him is part of his life aspirations, although, limited in support.

Isah who intends to study robotics and become an artifical intelligence expert while speaking with Trust TV said, “This robot is made of motor, cardboards, LED, copper wires, aluminium, pipes, tyres and wood. They are things I got from people and one market called Jakara where you can buy things like a hair dryer that has been destroyed and use its motors.”

Isah’s father, Auwal Barde, is proud of the young chap although he lacks the financial capability to help Isah live out his beautiful dream.

He said, “I don’t have the means to support him but I will be happy if he has the support elsewhere either (from) the government or individuals. I’m a poultry farmer. ”

It was also revealed that  Isah started showing interest in engineering at 8 and has since then been trying to fan his skills to flame.

His brother, Muhammad also disclosed, “I always support him when he is about to give up so that he will be something one day. In the future, we don’t know what he might create that will help our country at large. ”

Following the wave and accolades this act got on the internet, some kindhearted Nigerians have appealed to government to support the boy.

A video of the young boy revealing how the robot imitates his every move while being controlled surfaced online and accolades have been pouring in for him in huge numbers.
