James Ikechukwu Esomugha, commonly known as Jim Iyke, a Nigerian actor best recognized for his work in Nollywood, has been given a chieftaincy title in Ghana.
On Sunday, the tenth Yam Festival was also celebrated, and the coronation coincided with it.
The actor was given the honorific title “Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo” by Her Royal Highness, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu.
Ihenetu claims the actor was honored for his outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the Igbo people as well as the African entertainment business.
In the year 2001, Jim Iyke began acting.
In addition to founding Untamed Records, a music record label, he also founded Untamed Productions, a movie production firm, in 2007.
