As he lent his helping hands to his alma mater in Edo state, ace comedian Bovi received praise from a large number of people. The comedian made the decision to refurbish and put into operation a few facilities at his former elementary school, the University of Benin Staff School in the state of Edo.

Roofs, windows, toilet seats and tiles with a new flushing system, lighting control switches with improved wiring that illuminates the school, fans, painting, and other items were among the things the comic actor fixed at the school.

The University of Benin Staff School in Edo State, attended by comedian and actress Bovi Ugboma, has undergone renovations.

Bovi wrote a lengthy message on his Instagram page on Tuesday in which he said that he had always credited his primary school for his current successes.

He continued by saying that upon seeing the facilities’ deteriorating condition, he was compelled to repair the 20-classroom building, two staff rooms, and one library.

“It was a prestigious institution sitting on a hectare of land. That’s triple the size of many learning institutions today. It was a school with international standards that only a few private schools can boast of today.
“So you can imagine my sadness when I visited the institution and saw the degenerative state of the facilities. I broke inside. Hence I spent the last three months painstakingly seeing the renovation of the 20 classroom block, 2 staff rooms and 1 library. In this building, I spent my final years (primaries 4 and 5).”
In another post, Bovi appreciated the Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shuaibu, for “squeezing the commissioning into his busy schedule. He only heard of this 12 hours prior to it’s opening and promised to be there.”
He further appreciated the UNIBEN Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami, and his fellow comedians, I Go Die and I Go Save, for their contributions.
