H.E. Olufolake Abdulrazaq was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, on August 2, 1967.
She founded the Ajike People’s Support Center and is the spouse of Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State.
She was raised in the US, where she also began her studies, before relocating to Nigeria.
At the University of Ilorin, she continued her education and graduated in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in history. She then travels to Kaduna to complete her mandatory one-year Nysc service in the Nigerian Army in Kaduna from 1988 to 1989.
She is a woman with several certifications, having earned her postgraduate diploma in mass communication before going on to the University of Lagos State to earn her master’s degree in 1991.
The lovely First Lady has done exceptionally well for herself, serving from 1994 to 1998 as the third Secretary/Foreign Service Officer of the Federal Foreign Ministry’s Lagos Liaison Office.
After her time in the Lagos Liaison office, she moves on to the Nigeria High Commission in London, where she works as a counselor from 1998 to 2004.
From November 2017 to September 2018, she also served as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ acting director.
She received the Doctor of Science Honoris Causa (DSC Hons) degree from the European American University on October 5, 2019.
In March 2019, she was appointed director of the department’s economic, consular, and legal functions.
