Duke’s Woman Crush Wednesday: Uruemu Adejinmi

Uruemu Adejinmi is the daughter of the business mogul and the current Ovie of Agbon Kingdom in Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Mike Omeru, Ogurime-Rime Ukori I who was crowned in February 2013.

 

In June 2021 the Ireland based woman was elected as Mayor of Longford Municipal District. That makes her the first black woman to become Mayor.

 

She is married to Kehinde Adejinmi.

 

Uruemu has served in different capacities, amomg which are: Councillor, Longford, Ireland (Mar 2020), Executive Officer, Department of Health, Dublin, Ireland (Sep 2019 – Feb 2020), The Debt Clinic Graphic Manager, County Longford, Ireland
(Jan 2018 – Aug 2019), Product Supervisor, Ireland
(Apr 2016 – Sep 2017), Senior Quotations & Inside Sales Leader, Asia Pacific & Middle East Region (Apr 2010 – Apr 2016), Quotations & Inside Sales Specialist (Apr 2007 – Apr 2010), Bank of America Graphic Customer Advocate (Dec 2005 – Mar 2007), Customer Support Specialist at Zenith Bank Group (Jan 2002 – Dec 2002) and Intern at Valkan Engineering Services (Jun 2000 – Aug 2000).

 

The Agbon princess obtained B. Sc in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin in 1996-2000 and in Athlone Institute of Technology, she obtained Executive Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A) in Business Administration and operation in 2011-2013. Between 2017-2018 she studied Risk and Financial Analysis (QQI Level 9) Financial Mathematics in Dublin Business School.
