Emeka Oparah celebrates 20years of active service with Airtel Nigeria today 17th June 2022. He joined the firm 17th June 2002.
Oparah is currently the Vice President Corporate Communications & CSR, Airtel Africa
He studied at University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he bagged B.A. Second Class Upper Mass Communications (1986 – 1990) . He proceeded to The Management School, London where had
PG Diploma in International Public Relations in 2001.
He is a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA); International Association of Business Communicators (IABC); Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). He has also attended several courses both locally and outside the country in Communications, Management and Leadership.
Oparah has worked in quite a number of reputable organisations, among which are: As a Media Relations Manager between (1994-May 2002),
V mobile (2004-2006) Public Relations Manager (May 2002-Feb 2007), Head of Divisions: PR, Events and sponsorship at Celtel, (Feb 2007-Dec2007) Head Corporate Communications, and Zain Nigeria (Dec 2007-May 2011).
