Euro 2024 Championship: Ghanaian-German Born Named First Black Ambassador

Kevin-Prince Boateng, a German-born Ghanaian, was appointed as Berlin, Germany’s first Black Ambassador in advance of the Euro 2024 Championship.

He began playing football at the age of seven when he joined Hertha Berlin FC. His parents, German-born Christine Rahn and Ghanaian-born Prince Boateng, were both born in Berlin.

Boateng was born in Berlin, and it was there that he initially fell in love with football after signing up with Hertha Berlin when he was just seven years old. The 35-year-old has experience playing for elite European teams like Barcelona, Borrusia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Borrusia Dortmund.

Ahead of the EURO 2024 Championship, he will market Berlin as part of his ambassadorial duties.
