Femi Gbajabiamila at 60

Hakeem Gbajabiamila was born on June 25, 1962 to the family of Mr Lateef Gbajabiamila and Mrs Olufunke Gbajabiamila in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian lawyer and politician. He is also a member of the All Progressives Congress , APC. Gbajabiamila has been the Speaker of the House of Representatives since 2019. He represents the Surulere constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives.
He is married to his heartthrob, Salamotu Gbajabiamila.
He started his education at Mainland Preparatory School for elementary education and his secondary education at Igbobi College which he completed in 1973. He later proceeded to King William’s College on the Isle of Man, United Kingdom for his A-Level. He graduated from Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) with honors at Lagos State University in 1983 and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1984.
Gbajabiamila was elected to the House of representative in 2003 and re-elected in 2007.

Gbajabiamila was once the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives in the 7th National Assembly. He has also head the House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating claims by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON)

He was voted in as the speaker in the 9th National Assembly House of Representative with 283 votes  Mohammed Umar Bago, his opponent came second having had 78 votes.
