Happy 40th Birthday Uti Nwachukwu

It’s Nigerian actor and TV personality, Uti Nwachukwu’s 40th birthday today.


Uti Nwachukwu was born on 3rd August, 1982 in Ughelli. Uti who was born and raised in Ughelli, Uloho Avenue is the last child of his parents. He is a native of Ndokwa of Aboh Kingdom, Ndokwa-East Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.


He is a movie actor, musician, TV presenter, event host, model and speaker. Uti is the co-host of the Nigerian show, Jara.


Uti was a representative from Nigeria in Big Brother Africa 3. He became the third evictee of Big Brother Africa 3 house October 5, 2008 (Day 42).

However, in 2010 Uti competed as a contestant in the Big Brother Africa 5 (All-Stars) where he lasted 91 days and also won, having defeated Munya Chidzonga in a final vote of 8 to 7. Altogether, Uti spent a total of 133 days in the Big Brother house.


In 2011, Uti crossed from singing to acting and has appeared in quite a number of Nollywood movies.


He attended Igbenedion Education Center between 1993-1999. He also obtained a diploma in computer science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a bachelor’s degree from Benson Idahosa University in Benin City.


The 40-year-old phenomena has bagged quite a number of awards, namely:

2012 GIAMA “Best New Actor” held in the US.

2012 Mode Men Awards “TV personality of the Year”

He won the Best Soft Rock/ Alternative Video at the Nigerian Music Awards in November 2021.

Nollywood movie Award for the best rising star(male).

African Movie academy awards for the best supporting role in 2016.

Nigerian Broadcaster award for African broadcaster 2014 and 2016.

Nollywood Movie Award for Best Rising Star (Male).
