Daniel Akpeyi was born on August 3, 1986 i Nnewi, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Kaizer Chief and the Nigerian National Team.
Daniel began his career with Gabros International F.C and was promoted to the first team in 2005, but moved to Nasarawa United F.C. in January 2007.
Akpeyi married Emmanuella Ebert-Kalu in December 2016. He founded Daniel Akpeyi Children Empowerment Foundation (Dacef), a non profitable organization in 2020 with the sole purpose developing Africa by helping the less privileged children get quality Education.
During the Covid 19 worldwide lockdown, Dacef helped the people of people Gauteng, Johannesburg during the Covid19 worldwide lockdown.
In 2011 and 2012, respectively, he won Nigerian FA Cup and in Brazil, 2016, he won Summer Olympic Games Bronze Medal. In 2005, Daniel won FIFA U-20 World Cup Silver Medal in Holland. He also won African Nations Cup Bronze Medal, Egypt in 2005.
