Haruna Ishola to Lead Others at Ojude-Oba Festival 2022

Apala singer, Musiliu Haruna Ishola to lead others to entertain guests at this year Ojude Oba festival.  The festival is returning after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ojude Oba festival is an ancient festival celebrated by the Yoruba people of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Southwestern Nigeria. The annual festival takes place the third day after Eid al-Kabir (ileya) to pay homage to the Royal Majesty, the Ajuwale of Ijebuland. It is one of the most glamorously celebrated festival in Ijebuland.

Among the activities that will take place at the festival are displays by different age groups known as ‘regberegbe’ and horse-riding competition.

Ojude-Oba, meaning king’s fote-court will be hosted by the Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, while the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will be the guest of honour.
