Olamide, Wizkid, and Adekunle Gold, three Nigerian singers, have each taken home a prize at the 2022 Headies, which are currently taking place in Atlanta, United States of America.
At this year’s Headies, Olamide took home the prize for Best Rap Album. Carpe Diem, his record, helped him win.
Additionally, the smash song “Essence” by Wizkid and Tems took up the Best Collaboration and Best R ‘n’ B single awards at the 15th Headies event in Atlanta.
Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, also won Album of the Year for his song “Made in Lagos” (Deluxe Edition).
With his song “Sinner,” Adekunle Gold received the Songwriter of the Year award.
Born Daniel Benson, Buju defeats competitors including Ayra Starr, Zinoleesky, Lojay, and Ruger to claim the victory.
Buju takes home the 2022 Bentley Bentayga as part of the prize.

With ten nominations, Wizkid, a Grammy-winning singer from Nigeria, took the top spot on the 2022 Headies list.
The categories including Male Artist of the Year, African Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video, and Best Collaboration all recognized Wizkid with nominations.
In addition, Wizkid participated in contests for Best Recording, Best R&B Single, Best Afrobeats Album, Album of the Year, and Viewers’ Choice.
