Kanye West Makes Donation Of $2 Million To George Floyd, Breonna Taylor & Ahmaud Arbery’s Families

Amid the hiccups and fuss surrounding the chanting of Black Lives Movement and the killing the George Floyd, several celebrities have been called out to lend their voices to the outrage and unrest surrounding the murder of the Black American. The likes of Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Kirk Franklin, and many more celebrities of Black descent have registered their solidarity for a social justice and racial equality amongst all Americans irrespective of their race.

The rapper, Kanye West is apparently taking the fore stage of financing solidarity, as it was reported by TMZ that Kanye has already donated money to all of the causes being protested about throughout the United States right now.

Kanye gave a huge assistance to both the families and the legal teams fighting for Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. The Yeezy founder donated a whooping sum of $2 million, so far, to the cause and set up a 529 college savings fund to fully cover tuition for George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter, Gianna. Also, he has made a separate donation to cover the legal costs for the Arbery and Taylor families.

Meanwhile, Kanye has also played  a part in making donations to several black-owned businesses in his hometown of Chicago and the United States as a whole that have been impacted by the unrest in the country following such a harsh blow to businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. Moreover, this is not the first time Kanye West has quietly donated large sums of money for a good course. It would be recalled that in the last few years, he has donated $250,000 to Amara Enyia’s race for Chicago Mayor, $150,000 to family of Jemel Roberson, the Chicago security guard killed by police, and $500,000 to California wildfire relief efforts.
