Man Crush Monday (MCM): Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla is a Ghanaian Afropop, reggae, and dancehall singer. Born in 1988, he realized and began his talent and music career respectively at a young age.

With over a decade of scintillating music recording, Stonebwoy has had four studio albums with wide African and international associated acts. Some of the artists who have had a collaboration with Stonebwoy are Nasty C, Burna Boy, Keri Hilson, Diamond Platnumz, Sean Paul, Sarkodie, etc.

Opening the window of his music to the world, Stonebwoy has had performances in the United States, Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, etc. He had performed at Reggae Sumfest, Afro nation festival in Portugal, Rotterdam reggae festival, and Uppsala Reggae Festival.

Stonebwoy, who is the CEO of Burniton Music Group won the Best International Act: Africa category at the 2015 BET Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards.

The 33-year-old artist is also a recipient of two Billboard plaques. He has been described as the king of reggae and dance hall artists in Africa.

In his bid of giving back to the society, Stonebwoy established the ‘Livingstone Foundation’. He also opened the official BHIM merch shop in Ashaiman. Proceeds from the shop are used to fund activities of the Livingstone Foundation.
