Nigerian-born, Ghana-based singer, songwriter and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi is a year older today.
Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage name “Mr Eazi” was born on July 19, 1991 in Port Harcourt, the capital and the Largest City in River State, Nigeria to a pilot father and a mother who owner a small business.
He had his primary school education in Lagos and relocated to Ghana at 16. He bagged a B.Sc in mechanical engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST.
Mr Eazi started his music recording at KNUST. He formed a party and promotion company called Swagger Entertainment, a platform used for booking shows and promote events on the campus. Thereafter, he contributed guest vocals to the track “My Life”, a song that gained became a popular record at KNUST.
At 23, he returned to Nigeria to open his own e-commerce platform. He also worked briefly for Schlumberger upon his return to Nigeria. He also ventured into soft drinks import, gold mining, and food distribution. Mr Eazi buttressed that he started about six business ventures.
In 2014, Mr Eazi quit his club promoting job after an artist failed to show up for the largest party he attempted to throw. On June 7, 2022, he graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, USA where he took a short course on Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports.
Mr Eazi is engaged to Temi Otedola, DJ Cuppy’s baby sister and one of the three daughters of the renowned Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola on April 10, 2022.
In 2016, he won the Headies’ Next Rated award and the Most Promising Act to Watch by Nigerian Entertainment Awards. Also in 2017, Mr Eazi won Music Video Awards for his song ” Skin Tight ” featuring Efya by WatsUp TV Africa.
