Primetime entertainment boss, Kenny Ogungbe and reggae singer, Orits Williki, alongside Segun Alile, Tee Mac Iseli, Kola Olulana, Mojisola Fayemi and Mike Mbala have been nominated and elected into the board of the Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) at the Annual General Meeting of the organisation that held in Lagos lately.
The president of the society, King Sunny Ade thereby, enjoined members of the organisation to beyond the likeness and eagerness they have towards the forthcoming general elections get their permanent voter cards to enable them vote in the candidates of their choice.
Orits Wiliki who is the chairman of the board revealed his discontent on how the society didn’t meet its projection for 2021, speaking of regular collections. Nevertheless, he stated that the achievements recorded on the legal front compensated for the short fall in a great deal.
Also, the Chief Executive Officer of the society, Mayo Ayilaran disclosed to the members that other cases with infringers were ongoing before diverse courts and further appreciated their team of lawyers for their efforts. He equally included that distribution of royalties was in progress and that members should update their personal and bank details with the organisation. According to him, “We once again request that every member should update their records with the society, particularly their bank details and current addresses. ”
He rounded up by appreciating the members of the board for supporting the management in all its activities and assured them of the realisation of their goals.
