Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage as Wizkid, has said that the late, great artist Bob Marley gave him the desire to “live forever.”
The Essence singer talked about his forthcoming album, “More Love Less Ego,” in a recent interview with Guardian UK.
He claimed that his goal for the next phase of his life was to control his ego and use music to live eternally.
Wizkid stated that his goal was to “live for life” when asked about his objectives.
“I want to live forever. Not physically, but for whatever I create to live for ever,” he buttressed.
The Bob Marley musical play “Get Up, Stand Up!” was recently seen by Wizkid, who commented that seeing the play confirmed his life goals.
He said, “I was like, ‘Yo, we’re watching a Bob Marley play and this guy died decades ago.’
“I didn’t even know that he died at 36. He did so much at a young age. It just reaffirms what I do; I have to keep taking this to the highest heights.
“Because I know one day they’re definitely going to create a play about me.”
On Friday, November 11, 2022, Wizkid will release his song “More Love Less Ego.”
Ayra Starr, Naira Marley, and Skepta were among the artists who appeared on the 13-song tracklist, which the singer unveiled on Tuesday.
